Asari Dokubo vows to retaliate attack on GEJ's convoy in Katsina, dares Shekau


Ex-militant Niger Delta militant Asari-Dokubo has vowed to retaliate the attack carried out by some hoodlums on President Jonathan's convoy during his campaign rally in Katsina state yesterday Jan. 20th. At a press conference in Abuja today Asari-Dokubo said for every action, there will be an opposite and equal reaction. He called on the Igbos in the north to come home, saying failure to do so and they'll themselves to blame. He said Shekau is a man like himself and that he does not have the monopoly to kill or destroy

President Jonathan's Team Campaigns In Dutse

Incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan with his campaign team from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) visited Jigawa State capital today, January 21st, ahead of February presidential poll. 
While addressing the crowd of supporters, President Jonathan promised Nigerians that they would continue to enjoy freedom as obtained in the Constitution of Nigeria under his administration, if won.

GEJ Wouldn't Pay Sanisi's Severance From Central Bank

President Goodluck Jonathan has refused to release the severance benefits of the former Central Bank Governor of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who is now the Emir of Kano.

Sources close to Sahara Reporters told the News Portal that Jonathan, who holds that stealing in office is not corruption, has not forgiven the Emir for exposing the monumental corruption at the NNPC.

Cameroon Rescues German Man Kidnapped By Boko Haram

A German man kidnapped six months ago by Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria has been rescued by the Cameroonian forces, Cameroon presidency said in a statement.
According to the statement made public on Wednesday, “a special operation led by Cameroonian armed forces along with security services of friendly nations succeeded onTuesday night in freeing Nitsch Eberhard Robert, a German citizen abducted in Nigeria in July 2014 by the Boko Haram sect”.
Confirming the development. a spokesman for the German foreign ministry informed that Robert was now in Cameroon’s capital Yaounde.

However, no further details were immediately available about the hostage or the raid itself, including where it took place.
