Frustrated by the long delay in offering him a fresh contract,
out of job former Super Eagles coach Stephen keshi has taken refuge with
his family in the United States of America.
The coach jetted out of the country last night and is expected to
remain there until after the nations cup. The coach had reportedly
rejected a proposal to take a pay cut to guarantee him a fresh contract.
All speculations linking him with jobs in countries like Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, and South Africa had fallen flat.
A source close to the coach disclosed that he was still keen on the
Eagles job, but decided to take a break since the NFF was not forth
coming on his appointment. Keshi failed to qualify the Eagles for the
nations cup and was fired, only to be reinstated by the government.
