PDP Member Shot Dead in Lagos – APC Chieftain Suspected

There was remarkable tension in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State today after reports of the killing of a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) went public.
According to the Nigerian Tribune newspaper, the man, named Sikiru Ogboye, had been in charge of monitoring the distribution of the permanent voters card (PVC) in Ibeju when he was shot dead.
The state command has arrested suspects in connection with the death.

There are strong indications that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal will on Monday, November 17, pick the, All Progressives Congress APC’s expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the presidential post.

Tambuwal who recently dumped the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP for the APC will pick the forms at his new party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
It was gathered by PM News that Tambuwal already has his colleagues support because of his young age and they have started trooping into the FCT to give him moral support.

Protesters Storm Lagos INEC Office Over Voter’s Cards

Protesters stormed the Lagos office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today, November 10, to oppose the careless delivery of the permanent voter’s cards (PVC) in the state.

The activists carried placards.

The activists hold placards complaining the efforts to exclude Lagosians by supposedly signing the PVCs.
The protesters chanted solidarity songs and promised that they would never allow elections to be fixed in the state.
Scores of policemen equipped with guns ensured that the protest did not debauched into violence.
